NORSTATE FCU AWARDS $8,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS

AROOSTOOK COUNTY – NorState Federal Credit Union is pleased to award eight $1000 scholarships to local graduating high school seniors. To qualify, applicants had to attend an Aroostook or Northern Penobscot County high school, be accepted, and attend a two-year or four-year college or university and be an active NorState FCU member. “NorState Federal Credit Union is proud to support students as they take the next step toward their future goals,” stated Danielle Hebert, Director of Community Engagement. “We are honored to celebrate these students and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in our communities in the years ahead.”

 NorState FCU is proud to announce their 2026 scholarship winners: Hailey Bois (Presque Isle High School), Kayden Bouchard (Van Buren District School), Caiden Condon (Ashland District School), Ashton Embelton (Easton High School), Eric Helstrom (Fort Fairfield High School), Haidyn Saucier (Fort Kent Community High School), Kaeleigh Swanson (Presque Isle High School), and Jeremiah Turner (Madawaska High School).

Along with the application submission, students were asked to provide a testimonial on how their credit union has made a difference in their lives. Eric Helstrom stated in his testimonial, “Having a credit union nearby will help me take care of all my banking needs while at college.”  Haidyn Saucier mentioned, “NorState FCU has made a difference in my life by giving me a sense of security and confidence as I manage my money and plan for my future.” Hailey Bois also added, “I would recommend NorState to anyone for its reliability and awesome workers.”
