YOUR CHANGE HELPS CHANGE LIVES AT NORSTATE FCU

AROOSTOOK COUNTY – At first glance, spare change doesn’t seem like it would add up to much. That’s certainly not the case when the fees collected from NorState Federal Credit Union’s coin sorters are added up throughout the year and then donated to worthy charities. NorState FCU has three coin sorter machines located in Presque Isle, Fort Kent, and Madawaska. Every year since 2014, NorState FCU donates the user fees that members and non-members pay to use the coin sorters. Thanks to NorState FCU members and non-members, a total of $6000.00 was collected during 2022 and will be donated evenly to Angel Flight NE and Patient AirLift Services (PALS). "On behalf of Angel Flight NE, I would like to thank NorState Federal Credit Union and its community members for their continued belief in and support of our vital mission,” said Larry Camerlin, President & Founder of Angel Flight NE. “This is a perfect example of how even the smallest of donations is making a meaningful impact in the lives of so many.” With many Aroostook County residents having to travel far distances for procedures and appointments, the services that Angel Flight NE and PALS provides are crucial to patients in need. “I am grateful for PALS since they have provided me with air travel since I was a young girl,” said Hadley McLean. “It meant that my parents did not have to drive the long trips back and forth to Boston for my medical appointments.  PALS is a blessing for people who need medical transportation.” For more information on Angel Flight NE visit angelflightne.org and for PALS visit palservices.org.

NorState FCU also announces the recipient of their 2023 coin sorter fundraising efforts will be Aroostook Veterans Alliance. The AVA was created with the sole mission of assisting Aroostook County veterans and their families. NorState members and non-members can use the coin machines located in Presque Isle, Fort Kent, and Madawaska for a small user fee. For more on NorState FCU's charity contributions click here.
